What could possibly be more fun than a movie set? Perhaps a movie set filled with adorable puppies. That is exactly where we find Lauren Vancouver in Oodles of Poodles, Linda O. Johnston’s newest Pet Rescue Mystery.
Once again, Lauren finds herself in the center of a murder investigation. This time it’s to try to prove that her friend, veterinarian Carlie Stellan, had nothing to do with the death of movie director, Hans. Hans was killed in a hit and run accident shortly after having heated words with Carlie, who was concerned about the treatment of the animals. But Carlie wasn’t the only person that Hans disagreed with. Perhaps it was one of the volunteers who were helping with the dogs. Or maybe it was Grant, the representative from the Humane Association.
Whoever it was, were they the same person who broke into Lauren’s pet shelter and released several dogs? Lauren is distressed to think that someone from the movie set, who supposedly cared about the welfare of the dogs, could also be the person who might have broken in and taken a chance to harm the animals in her care.
As usual, Linda had me entranced with Lauren and her friends. From dear Mamie to Matt, and Brooke and Antonio, I feel as if I had come home to friends.
As always, when I read one of Linda’s books, I think that this one is my favorite. Well, guess what, this one WAS my favorite. Lauren is a likable character and her mishaps never fail to entertain me. I was kept guessing until the end, and even then could hardly believe who-done-it!

Sounds like a fun read.
Love animals! I used to work at a shelter and doggie day-care so this is just perfect for me!
Great review, thank you. I am very much looking forward to starting this series.
Looks like a great book. Love the review.
