In the 12th book in the Coffeehouse Mysteries, it is holiday season in New York City. Village Blend coffeehouse manager, Clare Cosi, is attending the Great New York Cookie Swap, where pastry chefs bake up their best for charity. Clare, in her role at beverage services, is making the season merry with her Fa-la-la-la Lattes. However, the merry mood takes a dive when one of the baker’s assistants, Moirin Fagan, turn up dead. Soon the crimes start escalating and they become dubbed as “The Christmas Stalkings”. Clare sets out to find the killer before Clare is the next victim.
My first christmas cozy mystery of the season! As a long-time cozy mystery reader, I love checking out the Christmas-themed cozy mysteries in November. Usually the more memorable mysteries end up under the tree for friends and family.
This season one mystery that is definitely going to be under the tree for my family and friends is Holiday Buzz. Aptly titled, I have a lot to “buzz” about the latest in the Coffeehouse Mysteries.
The setting for Holiday Buzz is New York City in Christmas time and Cleo Coyle successfully made it feel like fairyland, with that air of christmas spirit, shopping and latte’s at the Village Blend of course.
Clare Cosi is one of my favorite amateur sleuths. She’s the perfect blend of sweet, with a great sense of humor and she feels the same way I do about the Christmas season. She can’t wait for the snow! Every time I read a Coffeehouse Mystery my favorite part isn’t the recipes (yes they are great too!), or Clare’s romance with Detective Mike Quinn (it is good too!!) but it’s trying to solve the mystery alongside Clare. She has a knack for picking up clues and in Holiday Buzz, she butts heads with a Detective Endicott, who believes that he is better at finding clues than she is!!!
Holiday Buzz may be the 12th book in the Coffeehouse Mysteries, but this series has not diminished with time at all. Holiday Buzz is an outstanding book in a excellent series, and if you are not reading this series yet you are seriously missing out.

This is one of my favorite series. The characters at the Village Blend make me want to come back for more.
I am really excited and looking forward to reading it. Cleo does a fantastic job at making you feel like you are a character in the book right along side the rest of the characters.
I love this series, and the recipes even more!
I love the series, and can’t wait until Dec 4 to solve another mystery
This has got to be one of my favorite cozy mystery series! Could it be that I am a coffee addict . . . no
