It’s beginning to look a lot like murder. Finding a severed hand at a client’s house might throw lesser decorators off their games. But Chloe Carstairs and her mother, Amanda, won’t let a little thing like murder keep them from decking the halls. With a body under the partridge’s pear tree and a dead Santa in a sleigh, they have to crack the case before the killer strikes again – this time much too close to home. [summary via Goodreads]

I really enjoy reading holiday stories, especially cozy mystery holiday stories. This was a very good book; it was well written and flowed really well. It was a little longer than most cozy mysteries, 400 pages, but they were great! Chloe Carstairs and her mother, Amanda, are two great amateur detectives. This book had humor and it kept you guessing till the very end, which, to me, makes a great cozy mystery. This book not only kept me guessing, I had no clue at all who the killer was or why they killed. I really hope to see more Chloe Carstairs Mysteries. She is a really likable character. Great job Ms. Thomas, a very good read!
